About

Named for a stubborn little plant that blooms gold in the fall.

Rabbitbrush Studio is a creative cafe & bar in downtown Pagosa Springs, Colorado — a teahouse that takes its tea seriously, an art bar that takes the art lightly, and a room built for the long way around an afternoon.

We serve loose-leaf tea, wine, beer, mocktails, and light fare alongside a DIY art menu and group classes. You can drop in for a pot of something warm and a small watercolor, or reserve the whole space for a private tea-and-art party with your favorite people.

The name comes from Ericameria nauseosa — rabbitbrush — the gray-green high-desert shrub that lights up gold across our valley every fall. It's quiet most of the year and then suddenly extravagant. We thought that sounded about right.
